In XCOM 2, the player- character is the commander of the XCOM military association that's now reduced to a resistance force opposing the ongoing alien occupation of Earth. Played from a top-down perspective, the game uses turn- grounded tactics in which players issue commands to a team of mortal dogfaces to exclude the aliens in a chart and dependent on operations, complete secondary objects. (4) Numerous of the operations are timed, taking players to complete it within several turns. (5) Charts are procedurally generated to produce a wide variety of situations. Every chart features different terrain and structures in each playthrough. (6) The game offers four difficulty settings Novitiate, Stager, Commander and Legend. (7)
After players complete the crusade, they can start a new game with the"Ironman"mode enabled. In this mode, the player's save train is overwritten whenever the player performs an action, making it insolvable for players to import an earlier save after making a poor decision. (8) Players can produce juggernauts, cosmetics and adversary types, which can be participated through Steam Workshop. (9) The game features a one-on-one multiplayer mode in which players entered a fixed number of points to make a team composed of both Arrival and XCOM forces, and attempt to exclude the opponent's team on a battleground. At the launch of utmost operations, the player's team is concealed and won't be detected by adversaries unless they attack or move to a near position. This allows players to ambush adversaries, which provides combat lagniappes. (11) Fog of war hides the aliens and their conduct from view until the player's dogfaces are in range and have line of sight on them. (12) Squad members can take cover behind objects which reduces the chance of being hit. Adversaries will essay to adjoin and exposed dogfaces will sustain heavy injuries from attacks due to the lack of any defense. Each team member can perform a limited number of conduct before the adversary takes their turn and players can choose to end their turn beforehand. (4) Dogfaces can be instructed to move, attack or both depending on their available action points. The game will inform the players of the possibility of landing a successful shot and the quantum of health the adversary will lose.
