GRIS

The game follows a girl named Gris, (3) who wakes up in the win of a worsening statue of a woman. She attempts to sing out, but snappily becomes choked up and the statue's hands deteriorate, dropping her to the colourless earth below. After wharf, the girl continues walking forward and discovers a number of strange structures that feel to be powered by mysterious points of light suggesting stars. The girl can collect these lights to gain new capacities, similar as turning into a heavy block of gravestone, and creating new pathways made of constellations.

After reaching a central palace, the girl can travel to four new locales to collect lights and restore colour back to her world at statues suggesting the broken bone from the morning of the story. These areas include a desert filled with windmills, a lush timber, aquatic grottoes, and a world with structures made of light. Along the way she encounters colorful living beings, some of which help her on her trip, as well as an inky black monster which manifests as large brutes that hang to consume the girl. The final power the girl obtains is the capability to sing again, which brings life to colorful shops and mechanical creatures.

The girl ultimately collects enough stars to form a constellation path to the welkin, but the final pathway is blocked by the critter, who morphs into a monstrous form of herself and quaffs the girl total. She wakes up in an ocean of poisonous black sludge and swims to the face. As she climbs a palace rising out of the ocean, the critter tries to pull her back. Still, the girl begins singing and the statue begins to reform itself through the power of her voice. Just before she's fully consumed by the black canvas, the statue comes alive and begins singing as well, banishing the critter and the ocean of despair. The girl and the statue tearfully embrace and she climbs the final constellation path as the world is shown to be restored in colour and light.

Still, her nonage is revealed in a secret room, If all memorials are collected. It's night. A child Gris is in the meadows with an aged woman, who we learn the statue really is. The aged woman encloses a firefly between her hands also releases it to fly around child Gris. Also under the bright full moon child Gris and the aged woman embrace
