Final Fantasy XV is an open world action part-playing game where players take control of main promoter Noctis Lucis Caelum during his trip across the world of Eos. While accompanied by his three companions Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto, Noctis is the only character directly controlled by the player he can navigate through simple movement, jump over small obstacles, sprint for a limited time, and perform environment- grounded conduct similar as taking cover behind objects. (4) (5) The area of Lucis is a large connected mainland that can be explored on bottom, by using the party's auto"Regalia", or chocobos, recreating galliform catcalls in the Final Fantasy series. (6) (7) Both the Regalia and chosen Chocobos can be customised by the player, and Chocobos can join in battles if their connection to the characters is strong enough. While Chocobos are controlled manually, the Regalia can be either manually or automatically controlled. The party can also gormandize- travel to areas uncorked on the world chart. The Regalia must be refueled periodically at petrol stations. (8) (9) (10) In municipalities the party can visit, there are auberges and hospices where they can stay, shops where particulars and outfit can be bought with the in- game currency gil, and original pikers,non-playable characters (NPCs) who give information on searches, from main story operations to side searches. Side searches are also available from individual NPCs plant in municipalities. (4) (10) During some story sequences, dialogue choices appear for Noctis, with the named option altering the response from NPCs. (10) The game also contains two difficulty modes, with players being suitable to switch between the two. (4)
Battle system

The game uses an action- grounded real- time battle system, called the Active Cross Battle system. Rather of using a menu affiliate, the player selects commands directly counterplotted to buttons on the regulator, similar as" Attack"," Defend", and" Item". (5) Battles take place within the current terrain rather than transitioning to a separate arena, and can range from open plains to enclosed structure innards. (4) (11) When approaching adversaries, a trouble cadence appears on the top of the screen, growing in intensity the closer the party gets to the adversary. When the party gets close and attacks or is detected, the battle begins. Running down from adversaries and out of the combat zone in normal battles ends combat. During battle, each character has health points (HP), and Noctis also has magic points (MP). HP is depleted whenever a character is attacked, while Noctis's MP recovers over time when not in combat or when not using associated capacities similar as screwing or special armamentskills. However, they enter Danger Mode, during which the maximum HP cap steadily decreases; the character is defeated when all of their maximum HP is lost, If a character's current HP reaches zero. Some adversaries, similar as Daemons, are suitable to lower the HP cap with theirattacks. However, there's a brief period where a reanimation item must be used, If Noctis is defeated. Should the player fail to do so, the game ends
